I would prefer my doctor to be honest and don’t lie to me. However he could just give someone a placebo pill and says that these “might” help you, which would technically be true, albeit a bit deceitful.

It might seem a benign white lie with the best intentions, but I think the most important part of the doctor patient relationship is that the doctor provides uncensored objective medical information.

Getting placebo from alternative medicine practitioners on the other had I see no ethical problems with, deception is after all a requirement for alternative medicine.

Sure, I could go to a doctor and get ‘the right kind’ of sleeping pills and go out like a light. But I prefer not taking medicine that actually has a physiological effect (aka real medicine) unless I’m sick

Address the law of similars? The moronic notion that what makes you sick will make you healthy again? But only diluted so much that you don’t actually get ANY of it?
Then you need another “law” that says water is magical and has memory to remember the bad stuff and somehow heal the body based on what it remembers. (Fuck me homeopaths are stupid).

If these two extremely implausible notions were true, then homeopathic medicine would work, but it doesn’t. Maybe in another universe where the laws of physics are different it could work.

I’ve pooped better “laws” than the “law of similars”.

A very good attempt. Must include articles to address the basis law of healing i.e. law of similars its support before and after hannemann in other systems of medicine. This is the most neglected aspect that needs strong confirmation by proper research designs
