The potato peeler incident

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

In the midst of this gaming season I manage to maul the middle finger on my left hand, still with some band-aid and a little care I still managed to play trough 2-3 maps of Far cry.

Tonight some friends are coming over for booze’n'games, may the spirits of winter-een-mas bless my d20 :)

*Cough Cough*
goddammit, I’m fairly sure this is a direct result of me starting to use public transportation again (cant use my little überscooter when it’s icy and cold). Those buses in addition to providing me with the latest advances in human body odor , serve as some kind of sociobiological experiment where 20-40 random people from the population are stuck into a 10 meter long tube and exchange germs for half an hour..

Tried to do some work from home today, nothing like diving head first into a pretty unknown corba server-client system when you got that wonderful flu feeling (feels like I have drunk half a bottle of Stolichnaya (my favourite vodka by the way))

“Aaah Winter.. Yes… Winter”
It’s snowing, bad for me as previously stated this renders my only form of healthy transportation useless, however my ferret Nemi thinks snow is waaay cool, and has already been out playing a few times.

It’s snowing.. In hell
I actually bought a PlayStation 2 last week, with Lego2 Star Wars II.. A unexpected move for someone who has on numerous occasions stated their blatant hatred for both you might think?.. Well, the original star wars trilogy ARE the star wars movies that I hate the least, and since my hatred for Microsoft burns like a thousand suns that kind of rules out getting an Xbox.. I could have gotten a Game Cube but what would be the point of that??
Haven’t played the lego2 game much, and has just finished the fourth chapter of the first movie, playing it coop with Stacy so can only play it when she is not at work or otherwise unable to do some gaming.

the weekend

gah, I’m sick (flu) so now I can stay on the couch all day and watch Stargate SG-1 without feeling guilty, not that I ever did..

I’m starting work this Wednesday at Intrapoint, a company that makes Crisis manager, and quite a few other products..
I’m going to work on a multiplayer online game (java) that is a EU project, the game will allow players to invest in a virtual market.

Perhaps all those hours of playing Capitalism 1 and 2 will no longer seem like such a waste
