I think I’m in a German TV commercial for Fedcon 2011, a Sci-fi convention I’m going to in a month (It’s going to be awesome)
Someone recognized me in the video and was kind enough to send me an email (Thanks to Dietrich, which I met at fedcon 2009, he makes all sorts of really cool replicas) I was almost tempted to steal his Grays sports almanac, but I’m no Biff Tannen so instead I got myself 2 magnets for my kitchen (“Main Fridge”, and “Deep Freeze 9″)
A couple of days ago a pilot for a proposed tv series called ‘Virtuality’ was aired. The guy behind it is no other than Ronald D. More best known for his work on Star Trek and being the genius behind the new Battlestar Galactica series.
The show is about mankinds first voyage outside the solar system to search for life on a distant planet (a 10 year trip). The ship called the phaeton is equipped with a complex virtual reality system, which should prevent the crew from going insane by being stuck 10 years in a metal tube
The pilot was very good, and I would LOVE to watch more, unfortunately Fox has not ordered any more episodes, but perhaps if enough people get interested, that will change.
I haven’t watched the Simpsons for a long while, because watching The Simpsons after having seen Family Guy is like sticking a big spoonful of dog shit in your mouth after eating cake..
Anyhow, I thought I might give it a go again, and watched the latest episode.
Trough the last half of the episode I kept hoping a blood vessel in my brain would rupture and kill me. I had to watch 2 Family guy episodes to regain my will to live, and after that I still feel dirty!
I started watching a new TV series after christmas, figuring I should watch at least ONE tv series that isn’t science fiction.
Chuck is a action comedy (more comedy than action) series about a computer nerd who gets a big database of government secrets uploaded into his brain. He works at Nerd Herd (the support department) of a local electronics retailer who has lots of interesting and weird characters.
After getting the database put in his head, he invoulentarily becomes a “spy” working with two operatives from the NSA and CIA.
The series is filled with humor, interesting situations and is really fun to watch. The series started in 2007, and season 2 just finished. Have only watched the first season yet.

I just came back from getting my P1 grade (yellow belt) in Krav Maga. That was without a doubt the hardest thing I’ve ever had to endure. The worst came at the end as the sadist instructor had us wrestling with nice little breaks of doing push ups.
Now I’m going to move my weary body over to the couch and watch 10 seinfeld episodes, that should keep me busy until midnight when Stacy gets back home from Spain.
I tried out a couple of programs for managing your DVD collection lately. The choice fell on eXtreme Movie Manager. Adding movies and tv shows by importing from IMDB worked nicely.
I really like the tv series part, where I can list all the tv series I have, order by rating, etc..

Haven’t written many posts lately, so this is just a summing up post.
World of Warcraft
I ditched my tradeskills, Herbalism + Alchemy, and used LOTS of gold and time to get tailoring to 350, last night I made myself the Frozen Shadoweave Shoulders, which are pretty nice but I must say I’m pretty bored with Wow at the time, might have been grinding 100 motes of water that did it..
Also finally got the Masters Key, so I can now enter Karazhan.
Boat
I’m now on the waiting list to get harbor berth at the local sailing association.
Getting a spot will take around 1.5 -3 years or so, so I got plenty of time to save up for the actual boat
Work
The project I’m working on (Providing Real Integration in Multidisciplinary Environments) (hehe), is practically over so I guess I will get some new things to work on soon.
Also the 2 people I shared this office with left, one went to another company and the other moved to Oslo and will be working from there.
TV & Movies
Yay, Stargate atlants started up again last week, pretty exciting episode and I have really missed it.. Also Dexter season 2, and Curb your Enthusiasm started up again.
I saw the 28 Weeks later movie last week, it was much better than I had hoped for, and was a pretty decent movie. I also noticed there will be a new Wallace and Gromit movie soon (Trouble at mill)
Fuzzy wuzzy
We will be getting the newest addition to our family soon* (the little ferret, Cinnia’s Pinky Sophia). * At the time of writing soon is defined as: in 9 days, 3 hours and 43 minutes
Finally saw the last episodes of Threshold (sadly the show was canceled in the first season), but despite the abrupt ending, the show has great plot and characters, and is absolutely worth watching.
It’s officially summer. Me, Stacy and two friends went ocean kayaking today, just for an hour or so by the docks. And it was pretty nifty, I might join the kayak club to get free access to a ocean kayak, but the security course I have to take first probably wont be held again until Autumn

I’ve not eaten any meat for 5 months
I got a new sweeet monitor (Syncmaster 22″ widescreen)
I won 2 out of 4 dungeons & dragons miniatures games in one sitting (new record )
I watched all of Stargate (just waiting for season 4 of atlantis to start now)
Almost done watching Battlestar Galactica Season 3 (Damn the end of season 2 and start of season 3 was totally insane)
I started watching Dexter, which is pretty good so far
