I set up a new VPS server last night with Debian + mysql + lighttpd to host all my php stuff (which so far has been on a shared hosting server, which is horrible).
Now this wordpress is running on the new server (Serenity) and it’s alot faster, and I’ll be moving 4-5 other wordpress installs over to this new server in the next couple of days.
That way I can do complete wordpress backups automatically for all wordpress installations and a full mysql dump automatically 
I changed the old default wordpress header to something more personal
I made the new header with my drawing tablet, it started out as just my head.. but then I decided to add a Starfleet uniform, and then why not a little tribute to Evil Dead?
Just updated the wordpress installation on my site to 2.2.2, it was a breeze with fantastico/cpanel.. only had to re-insert the google analytics code to the footer afterwards.
Also installed the nextgen gallery plugin, which I’m so far pretty pleased with (you can see the result by choosing gallery in the right menu).
I had the same “problem” as my friend Håvard. The norwegian characters æ ø å got messed up with the update, but only had them in 1 single post, so not much to update he was much worse having all posts in Norwegian
Seeing that I never do anything with my tomcat log files, I tried out Google analytics on both this site and aakretech.com/net/org.
Adding the tracking code in WordPress was very simple, but I had to rename all the files on the Aakretech site to .jsp, and include the footer on every page. I also added
I was pleasantly surprised by the analytics web interface, very nice looking, user friendly and has a wide range of statistics. the highlights where the nice map (supports zooming down to city level) and of course seeing both Firefox and Safari whoop IE’s sorry ass
