I think I’m in a German TV commercial for Fedcon 2011, a Sci-fi convention I’m going to in a month (It’s going to be awesome)
Someone recognized me in the video and was kind enough to send me an email (Thanks to Dietrich, which I met at fedcon 2009, he makes all sorts of really cool replicas) I was almost tempted to steal his Grays sports almanac, but I’m no Biff Tannen so instead I got myself 2 magnets for my kitchen (“Main Fridge”, and “Deep Freeze 9″)
I declare this day, “I love Google day”.
Why? Because Google has such a vast array of awesome tools which I use every day. Their user interfaces are always powerful, elegant and simple, and because of their dedication to open standards and open source in general.
I guess we CAN make cool music that’s not Black Metal. Haven’t felt such a surge of patriotism since the good old days.
The song says what I’ve been saying for years (except I’m usually not as polite): “Some people prefer other languages, and that’s OK if you’re retarded I guess”
For some reason Earth hour managed to sneak up on me this year, and has just passed. Leaving a trail of idiots who can now feel good about themselves for “taking action”.
I’ve said it before, and I say it again.. Earth hour is bullshit, and their list of “actions” you can take is even more retarded than last year, in addition to spamming facebook, youtube, flickr, myspace, twitter and annoying your friends (The only “action” you can take for Earth hour, is to promote Earth hour) they’ve added this gem that illustrates the moronic lack of substance of this event:
“Make an Earth Hour Lantern as a symbol of hope for the future”..
Fuck you, if I wanted a better future I’m sure I could find something more productive to do than lantern making >:(
I spent most of this weekend (friday, saturday, sunday) demonstrating against a Circus in town, Sirkus Agora.
The demonstration was a joint demonstration with us (The Norwegian society for the protection of animals – Dyrebeskyttelsen Norge avd. Trondheim og omeng) and NOAH. We where usually 5 people there, and 15 at the most.
We handed out a bunch of flyers, got lots of positive response from people going by. The circus had few visitors, and we got to videotape their mistreated elephant. The video should be on the local newspapers web page sometime today, along with a story on the conditions of circus animals.
